GMWEA is excited to announce a planned open house training session at the Essex Junction wastewater treatment facility. The meetup will take place at the Essex Junction wastewater treatment facility (35 Cascade Street, Essex Junction VT) on September 24th, 2024.
The City of Essex Junction Water Resource Recovery Facility underwent a $15 million dollar upgrade from 2011-2014 focusing on energy efficiency, improving phosphorus removal, biosolids management and upgrades to existing equipment. The Tour will focus on how energy efficiency measures can be incorporated into to day to day operations reducing costs and extending environmental sustainability.
GMWEA is excited to provide this opportunity for wastewater professionals to learn and exchange knowledge about different treatment processes and operational experiences. Please come to gain firsthand exposure to the operation of the facility and gain insights into specific challenges and best practices. This event will allow professionals to engage with their peers, learn from each other's experiences, and discuss innovative approaches to wastewater treatment. By visiting a different facility, attendees will observe different technologies and processes in action. This exposure will broaden attendees understanding of wastewater treatment and provide valuable insights to apply in their own work.
Attendees will have the opportunity to earn 1 CEU towards licensure recertification.
