Water quality management has much in common with the science and process of brewing!
GMWEA's Poo & Brew / No Water, No Brew event is intended to bring together young operators, Northeast regional industry representatives, and municipal and state officials. Presented in early November, the afternoon begins with instructive tours of colleagues' facilities (wastewater for the Poo & Brew, drinking water for the No Water, No Brew), followed by facility tours and social get-togethers at Vermont's finest breweries -- with samples of their specialty beers.
GMWEA modeled its first Poo & Brew on NEWEA's 2015 event in Worcester, Massachusetts -- and the event proved so popular that it's been repeated every year since, always attended by capacity crowds and earning rave reviews from participants. The personal contacts made through these fun networking events remain valuable throughout the year as young professionals contact each other for advice and news of the sector.
COVID-19 precautions may prohibit holding the annual event in 2020; visit this site again for details about Poo & Brew / No Water No Brew in 2020 and 2021.
