Government Affairs 

GMWEA's Government Affairs Committee meets monthly and tracks multiple bills as well as regulatory issues happening across the state. They provide testimony and written comments on key issues affecting the drinking water, wastewater, and stormwater communities. 

GMWEA also holds an annual legislative breakfast each January in Montpelier to bring to light and discuss issues one-on-one with legislators and key politicians. 

GMWEA's independent contractor, Karen Horn, also provides detailed bill tracking for GMWEA members, and her updates are sent to members on a biweekly basis during active legislative sessions. These updates are key GMWEA member benefits.
